weird beep from engine bay

my engine bay is beeping...i have no idea what it is though. it seems like a constant beeeeeeeeeeeeeep for a while then it stops for a second then does it again. any idea what it could be? i know i need to replace a hose on my EGR Valve because it is split but i dont think that would cause this beep. ill let you guys know whats happening after i replace that hose (today after work) WHAT COULD CAUSE THIS BEEP?

A beep in your engine bay? Nothing is designed to beep in the engine bay AFAIK. It could be a vacuum leak doing the same thing as when you strech the opening of a baloon maybe. Does the sound change pitch with engine speed?
