Waterpump Underdriven? Ted?
Waterpump Underdriven? Ted?
Would removing the air pump, and A/C belts cause the waterpump to become underdrive, thus causing the car to run hotter? Because recently I did 2 things at once, which I shouldn't have. I adjusted the TPS, and Fuel ratio...and also removed the A/C and Air Pump belts, and now the car is running warmer than usual. Also, at startup it sometimes the Add Coolant light on the idiot light comes on.

The only way to change the drive ratio of the waterpump is to change either it's pulley or the crank pulley. So to answer your question, no you didn't alter the drive ratio. As said before, slippage is the most likely problem.

Like they all said...
Get the Racing Beat double-sheave alternator pulley and two BRAND NEW alternator/water pump belts.  This minimizes slipping of the water pump due to the deleted air pump and belt.
