water pump problems

so yesterday i blew my water pump seal so last night i replaced it now today it is leak off the bottom part of the water pump, anyone have any ideas on what it could be?

The pump housing mounts & seals to the engine with the same studs that mount the pump.
In the process of pulling the old pump, it's easy to seperate the back seal.
A leak there will run down the back of the housing & show at the bottom of the pump.

I use a thin coat of RTV sealant on gaskets.
