Looking into buying another fc, bassically just cuz, and I found one, but the owner says, and I quote " when it overheats, it pushes water out the exhaust, but there is no water in the oil."
need new engine? or can I buy a 150 dollar gasket kit, and call it a day? the car is very clean actually....

id stay away. Could be worst case scenario and have a busted coolant passage which would mean atleast replacing the housing it affects and do a full rebuild. Especially if the guy has overheated it enough to notice water coming out of the exhaust. It only takes ONE overheat to permanently ruin a rotary.
Your previous issues with overheating werent too bad, id fix those before jumping into this next car.

plausible, if you have a back up plan if the car isnt as the guy says and you can go without your car for a while as a worse case scenario. You gotta think, theres a reason that people sell cars for cheap sometimes. Id just err on the side of caution is all I am saying. You have a car now that you KNOW the condition of, is it worth the risk of selling it and going into a purchase of a car you dont know anything about besides that it has been overheated a number of times.

Save your money man. Use it for something good on your FC... Unless you're super passionate about picking up another FC. In that case, skip on the one you're looking at. You could buy that one and use it for a parts car. The engine seems to be bad.
