I sent the owner of the brinkster.com domain the following e-mail:

To whom it may concern:

This is to inform you of a Paypal scam originating on one of your customer's sites. Please see the following URL:

http://www10.brinkster.com/passwordpay/welcome.htm

The owner of this site is sending the following e-mail:

Paypal.com
================================================== =

This individual is fradulently posing as the actual paypal.com site, attempting to get usernames/passwords to users' actual accounts on paypal.com. While the URL listed in the above e-mail no longer works, this individual still has the page online and is still sending these e-mails.

Please see that this is removed from your servers immediately. You, and specifically the name under whom your domain is registered, will be reported to Paypal.com for further legal action should you fail to act promptly on this scam. Also, should you fail to act, a copy of this e-mail, along with a more detailed report of this abuse, will be sent to the Federal Trade Commission, the FBI, and your State Attorney's General Office.

Thank you.

------------------
Hopefully they'll get the page down soon. Thanks for the tipoff!

- JB
