Wanting to get back into a 7

So I moved on to VW's for some time.. and already feel i want to get my hands back on a 7. anyway.. since i still have the VW as a daily driver im thinking of getting into a project is a better idea..

So i was thinking of getting something that has a blown motor and buying one of the rebuilds around.. seems liek there is alot of realy good companys offering rebuilds for a pretty good price..

so i figured if im going to buy a rebuild i may aswell go for a turbo. Now, is there a big diffrence from the NA body and the turbo.. interior, body, tranny anything else i dont know about?

thanks

I know exactly how you feel. I bought a new vehicle and considered selling my 7. But after driving truck for a while it was a rush to take the 7 for a spin. Aaron Cake (I think is his name) has a good write up on the NA turbo swap.

The na to turbo swap write up is in the second gen archives. You can get to them by clicking the link at the top of the second gen forum page.

You started wanting an RX-7 after that Fluid Dynamics character hijacked your bent valve Scirocco thread at the vortex! ha ha. All those VW fools got on the defensive and all I said was my na seven puts a stock 16v to shame! Muahahahahaha!!

haha, nice.. actualy well i owned a 7 before the **** rocco.. Yeah.. i got it for a grand so it was worth it.. but honestly vw's are ****.. atleast the rocco's are.. atleast its a 16v and not an 8v..

I actualy wrote up a big thread on how any older VW has nothing on a 7... and i had to delete it because people just keep getting worked up..

im just so sick of those guys with there 8v's and there storys about how they destroyed every import on the market... like come on.. an 8v.. gotta be kidding even a 16v.. 123 HP.. bah.. and there impossible to get running smothly! I shouldnt bag it too much.. its ok.. but honestly I cant wait to get it running smooth again so i can sell it!
