Want a racing suspension for my t2! any ideas?

I'm looking at hooking up the suspension on my t2, since it's got the factory springs, struts, bushings etc as it did when it rolled off the assembly line 11 years ago, and they're not cutting it for autox. What setups are you guys running? Any advice for spring rates and such? I'm thinking of going hardcore and getting coil-overs and camber plates, so I can have more adjustability and can change spring rates more easily (and cheaply compared to non-coilover springs)

any ideas?

I'd probably want sway bars too (I was told I actually hung a rear wheel in the air at autox today like some POS FWD car!), and I know I need bushings (esp #$*&$#&# toe eliminator ones)

go with the mazdacomp susp kit . that's what I want. the kit is $1700usd, comes with koni race shocks, eibach coil-overs, front camber/caster plates, rear camber link, and eibach sway bars.

then for another $200 or so you can buy all the bushings.

Sounds like good advice. You'll need it all to do it right. Talk to Speedsource too. I've never bought from them but they do know their 2nd Gens. www.speedsourceinc.com

If you wanna do anything in autocross it tires, tires, tires. Also keep in mind, if you mod the thing like you're talking, you'll end up in B or CSP (can't remember which). Either class has TOUGH cars competing in it.

Thanks for the advice, I'll look into it... that's a bunch of money... but you do get a lot of stuff, too.

I'm already in ASP because of the mods that the previous owner did to the motor, so I NEED the suspension to keep up with the other cars in ASP (like that damn 300zx that keeps beating me, how embarassing!)

I know I need tires too, but since there's only 2 races left this season and I probably can't make it to one of them, I figure I'll wait till next year for that...
