I just got my walbro today for $99 and free overnight shipping, and damn I was suprised at the size, I always saw it in pics but though it was at least 3/4 of a foot long, hehebut its only 5 inches, Just wondering if there are any precautions the insturctions don't outline....

 

Just the usual for working around fuel - disconnect the battery ground - good ventiltion - no sparks.

Oh - yea - clean or replace the pickup strainer.

 

Fairly straightforward unless your fuel pump flange screws are rusted. If they are, welcome to hell. You can search for a post by me about a year ago which goes into detail on how to remove them if they are.

Thanks all, it went nice and smoothly, alm,ost started striping those rusted bolts but got a small flat head to scrape all the rust off...
