searched..but havent seen anything i was looking for....

looking to install a walbro 255 and want to know if its enough just to wire through the stock pump wires..most people upgrade the pump AND rewire at the same time...i dont think i need to rewire the pump with my mods....i dont want to be wasting fuel when i dont need to..would a RRFPR help?

I did not have to on my car. I tested the voltage at the pump while on and off boost. 13.65Vs the entire time, but I also have an fd alternator on this car.

The Walbro draws a lot more current than the stock pump. Logic says you won't get the pump's full performance through wires sized for a much smaller pump. The rewire's not hard, just do it.

Anything is better than the stock set-up you have now, but I would highly recommend to rewire it.

If you got the money, there are fuel pump voltage regulators that make this a little bit easier, but expect to pay several hundred dollars for these things.

just using bigger wire should do something shouldn't it? just pull the wires and replace with bigger ones...

That's almost as much work as adding a power wire with a relay in the back.

If you actually followed the very long fuel pump power path, you'd quickly see that that'd be ten times as much work.
