Very strange pressure sensor code/problem
Ever since I replaced my engine the first time, (when it was still NA- just got a streetport) the check engine light would come on whenever the car got warm, and ONLY when I hit 0 vacuum at around 1500-3000 rpm's.
It won't come on when the engine is cold, and it also won't come on when it's summertime and it's hot out!
I check the codes, and it gives me a pressure sensor code.
I checked the pressure sensor, and it checks out fine, but maybe is still defective..
Here's the weird part- The light won't come on if I disconnect the vacuum hose to the pressure sensor. I dont' get it, because it throws a code whenever vacuum is at 0, at 2000 rpms or so, but it won't do it with the hose disconnected?? It should be reading 0 vacuum at all times!!! I know the ECU uses inputs from all sensors, and compares them to what they should be- if they are out, it generates a code, so maybe it's actually another sensor affecting it...
Any input is appreciated.

A turbo charged engine with a non turbo boost/pressure sensor/????? Sounds like you need to install a ___________sensor (fill in the blank).
It could also be a indifferent wire connection on one of the wires to/from the sensor. Or a busted sensor. Or.....

This has been going on since the car was still NA, with just a streetport.
I'm going to try a new pressure sensor.
The weird part is that with the pressure sensor hose connected, when the when I hit the gas and the sensor sees 0 vacuum at 200 rpms, the light goes on.
With the hose disconnected, when I floor it at 2000 rpms, and the senor will be seeing 0 vacuum (since it is wide open-disconnected) it WON'T throw the code!
Doesn't make sense to me, because both conditions should be identical.
