very shakey start up?

When its cold the car start up very shakey..the motor and the exhaust shake like crazy and my RPM is NOT at 3k when cold start(only sometimes its at 3k) i have to give it some gas to steady out the whole car, 88 gtu na, is that a sypmtom of 1 bad rotor or just no sparkor what?, starts up fine just very shakey til i give it some gas drives fine after a 30second. i first thought it was my injectors but i dont smell gas or see any leakage

Check the compression.. don't worry about it too much. There's been a lot of "shakey start up" posts in the last few days.. look for them.

Sounds like maybe you plugs are fouling out durring start up.. then clear up.. put some new spark plugs in and see what happends.

well today i change my spark plugs with new NGK's...whats weird was the front "L" spark plug was corroded cracked at the spark area and was very hard to take off and the other 3 was half black half brown is that normal? i changed these spark plugs 8 months ago...runs better now not more 3800 rpm hestition starts up better but still idle low until i give it some gas for the cold start(the loud fan) comes in

In general brown is good, black is bad. However, the area on the plug you should be reading the color is the center insulator (red area in attached image). If that area is brown/tan, the air-fuel-oil mixture is burning efficiently. If that area is black, there is a problem with burning the mixture. Could be a problem with the spark plug, coil-ignitor, fuel injectors, engine compression, et. al.

I had the shaky startup in my n/a. It was almost like you could feel the rotors slowly turning. Well anyway it turned out I had bad compression.

thanks for the info

but i wish i had a camera so i can take pix of the spark plug but i dont..let me descrive the best i can..the NGK spark plug has lets just say 4 squares and the electrolite part the 2 T spark plugs 2 squares are tannish/brown the the other 2 square are black then the 2 L spark plugs 1(the front bottom) of them was crack chipping from the elctrolite part and the other was just brown/tan color

I'm afraid I can't follow that. But it's really simple. The ceramic insulator around the center electrode (red area on previously posted picture) is where you "read" the color. Forget about the deposits on any other part of the spark plug. If the deposits on the center ceramic insulator are brown or tan, you're good to go. If the deposits on the center ceramic insulator are black, that's not good. Read my previous post in that case.

From: Findlay, Ohio for now. Thinking about moving in with your mom.
If it shakes, it prbly has bad motor mounts.
