vert rims are

15'' 6.5'' wide

your T2 wheels are 16'' and 7'' wide

the only downside is that the amount of rubber oyu can get on them might not be enough if you are making alot of power. otherwise they will HELP since they are so light. better suspension response and accel, as long as you have traction that is.

the disadvantage is that you cannot get "super wide" tires onto that size wheel... like a 225 max?

if you have coilovers and run a 17x9 wheel out back you could fit a 275 wide tire!
thats a huge bitch!

They weigh much less than your stock wheels, but they are have a smaller diameter and are 1/2" narrower. Your car will feel lighter on its feet.

They are sweet, I'm actually painting mine right now, I have a black convertible. I polised the lip so it looks chrome, then painted the center flat black. Still have one to go, it takes a good 3hrs to polish each lip up nice. They feel like feathers compared to a set of 17" alloy mustang rims.
