Kirk Racing makes the roll bar hoop with or without the harness bar. Both versions allow the top to function normally. You wuld have to contact Kirk Racing as they no longer have the bar listed on their website I believe.
Here are some pics:

nm i got to a com. where i could check the price.

- i looked at the pic and was wondering about the horizontal bar, and you couldent put a harness on that due to the fact that it is lower than your sholders right?

do you have this set up so i know it works with the vert well, and so i can see if the top still works.

-also, would the passenger seat still work fine with the cross bar?

That bar won't work with the vert top.

If you take off the targa each and every time then yes. Basically you eliminate the possibilty of putting the top down when and where you want.

Also, the supports that go back to the rear strut towers will make it difficult to install. Not impossible by any means.

the bar pictured is not the exact bar you will receive tho.....u have to select the convertible top option in the roof type box....thats the one i ordered and have in my vert....and the vert version comes with only the harness bar addition in that picture....not the diagonal bar or head restraint....

So it sounds as if the bar, or actually hoop, is the same as what Kirk Racing offers.
