Variable boost pressure in one gear

Tell me what's wrong.... here is the stock dyno:

Here is the dyno with my boost controller turned on.
It varied from 9-12 psi in the same gear / pull. I don't have an FCD, but my Air Fuel Ratio Mixture actually read rich at 12psi. Am I supposed to have the turbo feeding into the boost controller and bypass the stock duty solenoid altogether?

Yes! You can't run two boost controllers one one engine. The ECU must've been having fits trying to control boost. Bypass the stock solenoid altogether and run your lines straight to the new boost controller's solenoid.

Those are pretty lines though...

Arpus what is your car and what are your mods?
Also, how does he have 2 boost controllers, where is the stock soleniod?
And last question, is the dyno supposed to be all wavey like that? Is that normal?

The Series 5 already has electronic boost control, via an ECU-controlled solenoid. If you fit an aftermarket EBC, you must bypass the stock solenoid. Running both controllers together obviously caused rapidly fluctuating boost as the two systems fought each other, which is what produced the wavy lines.

All hail the problem-less N/A!!

Strange dyno though...I can't tell what I'm looking at and even I know that it ain't supposed to do that...

Wow that's one impressive dyno hehe! Can't even imagine what your ECU was thinking on that one!

ok.. I've disconnected the lines running to the stock solenoid. And disconnected the connector on the solenoid. It only makes 6 psi now.

With an EVC II, is the solenoid supposed to be mounted a certain way?

NZ I've read a couple of your posts on boost but I want to be clear on something. Is the line from the turbo housing to the boost controller supposed to have the restriction pill in it or not?

Stock or aftermarket controller? The stock set-up must have the pill in the line between the compressor housing and the tee. Aftermarket EBC solenoids usually have the necessary restriction built in, so you just have to run two lines from the turbo and the wastwegate actuator to the new solenoid.
