Looks nice, but I don't have a spare pair of vice grips, now do I have anything to weld that bead to them. I wonder if you could use JB weld for that? Use the JB weld to make the bead on the vice grips and just file out a groove on the other side.

Somebody needs to make a pair of these to buy off the shelf...if they do that good of a job...I'd buy a pair.

You can get a set of vicegrips at the dollar-store. as for the bead, any welding shop would probably put a blob of weld on there for free.... just to get rid of you.

If you're going to spend $95 to get them welded, you could pony up the extra $35 and just buy this. Then offer to do pipes for others for $30 or something

or you could throw away the junk *** worm gear style hose clamps and get what's called a constant torque clamp. It's what semi's use for the 30 to 50 PSI that they push. They make them in all sizes.

They still won't be very effective without a bead. Pressure does wild stuff....

buy a pipe expander and stick a little of it in the pipe and expand a lip.. works fine and will take care of that..

otherwise if u put your couplers on and clamp it on then spray them down with aresol hairspray it will seal them up

hair spray? thats a good idea...but i think it would work better if you sprayed the end of the pipe first then put the coupler and clamp on.
