urgent wiring question

so my s5 TII main harness, the one that goes under the dash all the way to the front of the car and has the fuse box is shitty as hell, previous owner cut so many wires. so i replaced it with a s5 gtu main harness. i got it all ran out the front and into the cab all hooked up and was starting to put the heater assumblys all back in when i realized my TII has power window were as the gtu didnt.

my question is, are all the harness the same? will i still have power windows?

and i do know that the gtu harness doesnt have the abs stuff as well, i removed it so i wasnt concerned about it.

thanks

I doubt there will be wiring for the power windows. Also, if it's the "front harness" you're talking about, you should check out the FSM wiring diagrams for all of the differences between NA & TII models. There are probably a few, then also differences between cars that had various options.

I don't KNOW the answer.

But say you look at the series four parts fische and look at the part numbers for the FRONT harness, you can see that there are several FRONT harness for the car. But the differences in the front harness seem to be just dependent on whether or not the car has pwr steering, turbo or non turbo, automatic etc.

So I ASSUME that the door harnesses left and right, will plug into any of the FRONT harness listed. Because they show no distictive part number for a Front harness for cars with or without power windows.

You can go look at the series five parts fische to see if the same applies for series five cars.

But as for me, I'd expect to find the connector on the Front harness for that mates with the left door and the connector on the Front harness that mates to the right door, even on cars that did not come with power windows.

Like I said, I don't KNOW that for a fact. Just seems to be so by looking at the parts fische. See attached jpg for a series four car.
