Urgent: Need tip on manually cranking

My engine has been sitting for a while and has siezed. We put some ATF in it last night, and now are getting ready to crank it. I removed the fan, and alternator. Is it okay to crank using the bolt on the e-shaft pully? I'm just unsure about whether it's supposed to be torqued to a certain spec, or not. If I shouldn't mess with that, what's the best way to crank the engine manually? Thanks

the way i was told was just to attach the right sprocket and turn that bitch.....clockwise im pretty sure.....

might wanna wait for other answers though

I would probably use the E-shaft bolt, there really isnt any danger of breaking it loose. Its held on by 100 gallons of Super Locktite.

Okay, so we tried using a ratchet and couldn't get it to turn at all. So we got a big freaking pipe to get more leverage. It made the bolt turn, but not the pulley. Any suggestions? I put ATF in the spark plug holes last night, and we pulled off the dynamic chamber and poured some down the intake as well. Doesn't seem to have broken the sucker free though. I went and bought some seafoam. Should I pour that in there as well, or is there something else I should do?

And yes, the car is out of gear.

Okay, so we dumped some seafoam in there too, and it still won't budge at all. Is it possible that an apex seal is turned and wedged against the housing, and not carbon buildup? The car only has 60,000 miles on it. Should I give up on trying to unsieze it and resort to a complete rebuild now, or is there still hope? Thanks again.

if you cant spin it at all might wanna try getting the atf / seafoam into the engine at every place possible (exaust, intake, plugs) if you havent done one of those already... you should be able to get all the sides of the rotors that way...

Well I've done everything, but the exhaust. The car is outside on grass/somewhat gravel, so I didn't feel comfortable with jacking it up. We'll move it into the garage tomorrow, and probably pull off the exhaust and try that. And drop the tranny and see if that helps, and if not out comes the engine I guess. What's the cheapest place for rebuild kits? Right now I'm looking at the Atkins Rotary kit that comes wiht everything but bearings. The engine only has 60k miles on it, but it's been sitting for a few years.

We put a lot of force on the e-shaft bolt, and I hope I don't regret it by finding an apex seal dug into the rotor housing. The car won't seem like such a good deal if I have to replace the housings.
