unusual surging (yes i searched)
ok so heres the deal... im getting a surging at about 1200 rpms to 1500 rpms and it does that over and over and over....
now i have checked the BAC valve, gave it power and heard the clicks, and it is wired properly, and plugged in because if it wasnt my idle would be around 100 rpm..
as well i did a resistance check on the TPS and it checked out fine, and i tried running without it plugged in and it stayed idling at about 3800 rpm and never changes...when i plugged back in, it does the surging again.
i have put a wire as a jumped in the green connecter by the coils on the drivers side headlight area, and it seems to make no difference at all if its jumped or not..
any ideas what else could cause this surging? i dont have a vacuum leak, and for the life of me i cant figure it out, please help.
thanks
Marshall

Have you cheked the TPS throughout it's entire range? A scope or analog meter is best for this.
Is the TPS within adjustment?
Really sounds like a TPS issue.
Are you sure you don't have a vacuum leak?

Man this has been covered so many times, I myself have the same problem right now.
Surging is always, ALWAYS related to a vacuum leak plain and simple. Unmetered air enters the intake and it ***** up how the ecu is trying to controll the engine.

Must...scrub...parts...
Do you still have the AWS on? I had that problem and finally found out that it had a small crack. Took it off, problem fixed. If the surging goes away when the car is warm then that's probably it.

Man, if you were running on one rotor, your ******* engine would be rocking with every combustion, really really rough idle. You don't need to take it out on the road to notice its running on one rotor..

nah, not really...
I have seen them have NO comression on one rotor and idle with just a surge (pretty much the way he has described) and when you drive it it has real crappy power, pretty much like I described.
