Greddy FMIC trouble

Ok im having a lil trouble with the greddy FMIC. i got the whole hot side(turbo to intercoller) perfect and the intercooler is mounted and the first pipe off the intercooler is too. im having troubles with those last 2 pipes, the last one that goes to the TB just hits all my brake stuff like master cylinder, and booster and stuff and i cant fit it in their. has anyone used this kit befour and how did you fit that last pipe without cutting it up!?!?!?!

Cowzzz,

I had the same troubles with my front mount also. the last two that go to the TB. i actually had to cut a good amount off of the last pipe that goes to the TB and bend it gently and now if fits perfect and does not run the brake master. I have the tools to do that and i also own a shop so that makes things easier for me. In your case i would find some1 in your area and let them customize that last pipe and make it fit like it needs to. It will be 10x nicer then wat it is now. let me know wat u end up doin.

I put the TB pipe into a vice and compressed it slightly to fight around the PS. I had to bend the brake lines and my brake master cylinder is slightly angled against the pipe. No problems at all. I didnt modify that last pipe at all except for compressing it to clear the PS.

I was wondering the same thing. I think one of the lines is the air bypass solenoid valve, the other go down to the manifold i think. I took the ic off and try to start it , it would run for about 10 seconds and dies out. Put the ic back on hook up the two hoses and the car stays running. So what do you do with those hoses when you go fmic. Any info would be great. btw cowzzz didn't mean to jump your thread. Thanks Tony

Cap them. Also if you still have your BAC installed you need to get a fitting to feed air into in through pipe #1 .

I can take a pic when I get a chance. The way I have it set up is not ideal. I have a 1/8" NPT fitting feeding the air for the BAC and I dont think it's large enough to supply enough air for it to work at maximum potential. Someday I'll get it retapped for probably a 1/2" fitting.
