unreasonably high idle

Hey guys, so i recently got my s5 gtu running, and one of the few problems i have left to solve is the idle. i have the screw at the top of the throttle body screwed all the way in, and it is idling under 2k. it's not like it's stuck in fast idle, cuz when i start it after a while it still idles really fast for like 10 seconds and then goes down to like under 2k. any ideas?

Correct me if I'm wrong, but isn't there supposed to be a gap between the throttle stop screw and the linkage. That is, if thats the screw you're talking about?
