BAC valve.

In the future, check the Factory Service Manual or Haynes manual for stuff like this.

The Factory Service Manual can be found in the FAQ For FC thread. It contains all this information and more, and is an essential tool for any sort of service work that needs to be performed on these cars.

Additionally, the Haynes service manual for the 1986 thru 1991 RX-7 (both turbo and NA) can be found at most local auto parts stores or purchased from any good bookstore (ISBN number 1 56392 007 7). It is only about $25 and is a great quick reference for things like this. Not only does it contain most of the information in the FSM condensed into an easy to read format, but it includes full wiring diagrams as well.

These manuals will answer 99% of service related questions for the car and if you intend to do your own repair work, you will need at least one of them. Preferably both, since the FSM is a free download.

I'm pretty sure he knows which one is the BAC valve.. but if you click the images..... you can see what he's looking for.. which is CLEARLY not the BAC valve.

Sorry man, I don't know what those are... maybe water thermosensor? I dunno.. FSM is probably a good idea.

**********Also what colors go into what slot in the bac? (**************

It does not matter as long as they never touch each other as they seem to be doing in the picture.

One wire, the black/white wire, should have a constant 12vdc any time the key is to On or better.

The other wire goes to the ECU and pulses a gnd to the bac.

So, connect both wires to the bac and make sure they are not touching each other of a source of gnd. Turn the key to ON. The bac should vibrate/pulse. If not, check for 12vdc on the black/white wire. Got 12vdc? The ohm out the other wire to the ECU. Ohms out good???? Bad transistor inside the ECU. Went bad because someone shorted those wires to eachother and or gnd.
