umm...help???
the car: 88 rx7 t2, fully de-emissioned (no air pump, bac, acv, vac spider, etc), stock.
just swapped motor over from my 87 t2, including all electrical (solenoid resistor, afm, ecu, map sensor, etc). however, im running richer that donald trumph. im getting almost 14mpg highway, less than 10 in towm.
Ive been trying to search the forums for the last couple of days, whenever i have free time, but i have had no luck. heres a list of things that i have tried to do to pinpoint why its running so rich
checked for vac leaks
checked injectors with 9v, soaked in injector cleaners
exhaust does have a decent leak b/c i nailed a speedbump by accident
changed all coolant temp sensors
next i was going to play with the tps. any other ideas? really having trouble pinpointing this one.
thanks!!

explain this injector checking method you used.
hows your compression?
did this happen exactly after emissions removal?
how is your idle?
There's a lot of us locally that could prolly try and help you out, plus Arizona Rotary Rockets is in phoenix.

as far as compression, its fine. i smoke a bit, but nothing horrible. did the ghetto test and a psi check. psi was 95 rear, 115 front.
the original motor was deemissioned when i got it, but the motor was blown. i swapped blocks out of my other t2, including all electrical. the only difference in the two are the emissions or lack there of.
and idle seems fine. i have no tach right no (as seen from the az forums) still cant figure that one out. however, but ear, and driving 7s long enough, i would say my idle is around 800. i also had to switch out ecus because one was pulling timing really bad, making me idle at about 2k. swapped that out, and the idle returned to normal.

o2 sensor plays a part in how your car is running, the ecu uses it to tell if it has the mixture right. if its buggered, the ECU might be adding in more fuel to compensate even though it doesn't have to. see if you can borrow an o2 sensor off someone and swap them, see if it corrects it. i suggest borrowing one so you don't waste 40$ in case it does nothing to help.

i already am on the az forums, just havent gotten around to posting this prob on there. already kinda aske j-rat, he was puzzled. also, most of the things im reading point to a leaking/stuck injector. however, i did test them, so now im confused.

definitely a more accurate answer j-rat!!!
i replaced the o2 sensor less than 1k ago, so it should be fine. as for the codes, i have not had the time to pull them yet. but i will soon, hopefully tomorrow.
the trailing coils to have spark, pulled the boots off, saw spark. so they should be working fine, unless i have a short somewhere that is causing the trailing coils to ground out intermittently.
on the plus side, it seems to be leaning out a bit after i replaced the coolant temp sensor behind the front cover next to the alternator... so maybe ill get 12 in town and 16 highway!!! yay!!!!!
thanks for all the help thus far, all input is appreciated!
