Question the ultimate upgrade?!

I hope a LOT of people read this. I have an 88 ragtop. I LOVE and I mean LOVE my car, I did a lot to make it faster and a majority of the time when I race someone I win. not big v8's or anything but the import scene we all know that we can kick some ***. but she's an NA and there really is just isn't too much you can do. SO I got the ultimate upgrade. I went and bought a 93 touring pretty worked over already with 43k miles, I mean cherry. I couldn't believe how it's just in a whole different league than my droptop. I almost felt guilty because she was what I was talking to my friends about instead of ole faithful. And now the important part, parden me while I go off on a rant. My droptop has 164k HARD miles on it, I've had her for most of them and beat the livin hell out of her, she goes to redline ALL the time, I see how fast I can get home in her and race ANYONE who wants to run, whether I win or not, she gets NO mercy and at the end of a long day she sits out in my driveway and just waits for me to get back in and have some more fun, and I do. She handles like a dream, has so much getGo for 1.3 liters and for the love of all things holy(the rex) I pass hundreds of cars everyday to and from work and my car is special because she has under the hood what 99.99% don't have. Now the funny thing. My new rex is SO much faster, handles like it's on rails and has almost 120k miles LESS than my 88 but after ONE week or driving it like I've driven my 88 for years, and the motor went. I've read that the 3rd gen was the pinnacle of japaneese engineering, but why does my 16 year old car remain sitting in my driveway smiling and waiting for me to get into it tommorrow and kick her *** in a loving way all over the place.
Maybe I don't post the most on here or even know half of what you guys know about it, but I know ALL the things that make her special and I won't say I love my car more than any of you guys, because all of us would argue that we love our own car more than anyone else, and that's friggin beautiful. I LOVE THE REX. my .02

The short version for everybody else:

He has a vert. He bought an FD and it blew up. He loves his vert.

I wish I were in your position. I have an 88 TII that I can say I love just as much as you love your vert. I also kick its *** every day but I would love to have an FD. Even if my TII would be more reliable I would kill to have an FD, but I would still keep my TII so I could see it smiling in my driveway, waiting for me to go drive the hell out of it. Every car, motorcycle, or vehicle in general is a new world in itself and each presents a different thrill. I'll keep my TII no matter how fast of an FD I get down the road
