uh need stero help....big time...

okay so Im about to install a new deck(car came with out one haha) and it looks like the previous owner cut the 12+ and Acc cable when trying to install new speakers.... Or the color of the wires for the front driver side speaker happens to be the same color. Im not 100% sure on eather because the light blue w/red stripe, and light blue w/yellow stripe have a connecter on them, BUT they stop at the right location at the speaker location. wuts going on? am i just confused because the wires dont stay the same or did they **** the the audio system?

P.s. ill get pics in the morning.
~TDR

Edit: they put in new front speakers, but they didnt hook them up at all. just screwed them in the location...

Run new wires!!!!!!! The stock system has amps at each speaker thus not just a connection to the speaker. Typical 7 stuff.

I had to replace all four speakers and run all 4 wires.

Also i dont think i explained the situation well enough. The ltblue wires stop at the speaker location. so i dono.. im confused... i might see if i can hit up a friend with a good knowlage of sound systems...

This is easy to do.

Take apart the front speakers under the dash. It should be a few screws and a few bolts. You will notice a box around the passenger side speaker. Take it apart a run wire to the new speaker. Put the box back together and reinstall. The Drivers side speaker is a little easier but just get the wire connected.

The rear speakers are a little more work. Take the speaker covers off. Should be a few screws. Now take out the speaker box. If you don't have new speakers in these then just take the old ones out and put the new ones in. I had to cut the plastic to fit my 6inch speaker. Take out the amp inside and run the new speaker wire through the old hole. This wire must be run up to the front dash. Just run it under the carpet and take off the door rails. Use some zip ties to fasten the wire under the dash.

Yes, you can just run your new wires to the new deck. You don't need the old stock amps.

Again, you have to run your own custom speaker wire
