U.S. N/A harness into JDM TII ECU

I have the S4 JDM engine management harness that came with the ECU (N340) and JDM TII engine... I want to plug the OTHER harness (U.S. S4 N/A) into the JDM ECU. The JDM harness will make the engine start and run and such... but I don't want to lose my headlights and stuff like that. Say I use the JDM harness for the engine and the N/A harness for the other stuff in the car. Will my ECU get messed up? Will something bad happen? I want to use the JDM ECU and harness. I cannot find a pinout diagram for the N340 ECU.

Save yourself any hassle and just get the right harness, from a US S4 TII.

There is a pinout diagram in the S4 Wiring diagrams manual, if you intend to be working through problems like this on a regular basis, you should pick one up.

I don't see how you intend to use a harness on a turbo engine that is from an N/A car. It's just not going to work without some serious hacking and soldering. I agree, you should get the right harness and go from there.

Not so at all. It's virtual plug and play for a n/a harness on a turbo engine.

A turboii EM harness mated with a non turbo car is the wrong way to go all together.

Swapping in ALL turbo harnesses in place of the original non turbo harness is mindless/retarded/simple minded/quackery.

Being bull headed and thinking you have to use a JDM EM harness on the JDM engine is ..........well I won't go there.

Think about it. Both turbo and non turbo have four sparkplugs all in the same place. A cas in the same place. A boost/pressure sensor in the same place. A afm in the same place. Four fuel injectors each. So the plugs to those items will match the appropriate parts.

If adding two feet to the BAC plug is HACKING, then your limited in your own ability. Hacking my royal ****. We HACK airplanes all the time when we MOD them for updates, if you want to call extending wiring hacking.

What about for a stock car, is there a Boost duty solenoid connector? Not that you need it if you're going to be removing emissions and what not. (I'm more familiar with the Series 5 cars at this point in terms of electrical connections). I'm just wondering if the same is true for series 5 cars.

The NA and Turbo ECU's pin-outs are mostly identical, because most of the stuff the ECU controls is identical on both engines. The differences are where the Tubo has a device the NA doesn't and vice-versa. For example on S5 ECU's pin 2M is for the VDI solenoid on NA's and the knock sensor on Turbos, and pin 3R is for the 6PI solenoid on NA's and the boost control solenoid on Turbos.

Either ECU will run either engine fine, but ssome accessories won't work properly without relatively minor rewiring. This is not recommended though because obviously things like fuel and ignition maps will be different.
