twin scroll

I have a question I took of my twin scroll and I was told to put the flap wide open

but when I leave it wide open I get little more top end power
however when its closed I get better bottom end and little less top end, the turbo spools faster at bottom end at least if feels like it
any suggestions of whats better

Well, Bryan at BNR told me that when i get my stage III turbo in, I should take the thing out all together and weld a bolt in the hole!!!!

If you are hitting the streets and doing the stop light to stop light thing, I'd set it closed..

BUT, in reality, being that you'll lose one or the other, while you're still running the stock turbo setup, i'd leave it hooked up to the switching solenoid and let it function normally.

Hows that FCD workin??

The best way to run the stock Twin scroll system is just the way Mazda intended. You leave it open, you wait all day for boost. Leave it closed, and you loose top end. Just let it do its job, or get a custon turbo.

If you wire the flap open you do not get more power, because above 2700rpm it's open anyway. The only way that could happen is if something is bent or broken and is preventing the flap from opening fully.
when its closed I get better bottom end and little less top end, the turbo spools faster
That's why it's only closed below 2700rpm. The whole point of the system is to reduce turbo lag at low rpm by increasing the velocity of the exhaust gases hitting the turbine.
