Turn signal problems.

Well one side blinks normally the other side blinks fast. Checked all bulbs and connections and everything is in order. Would a faulty switch cause this problem?

the one that blinks fast has either a burnt bulb filament, somewhere,or has a bad connection.

Worst case is the flasher unit is gone.(But I don't think so in this case)

I've check the front and it's in gd shape. I switched the bulbs from side to side with no difference. Maybe it's inside the connectors? I will look into this next.

I've seen bulbs where the filaments actually touch and cause this to happen.
I also remember the Beatles on the Ed Sullivan show too...lol!

When I had this problem I pulled out the bulb socket and it was all kinds of corroded but just enough I guess that it still pulsed fast. replaced the whole thing with one of better condition and it blinked normally.

Def Look into it.

Yes, I stated earlier where I switched the bulbs from side ti side and the problem stayed on the drivers side. Im guessing it may just be a bad connection. Wire brush and contact cleaner next.

Fwiw I had the same problem FOREVER. Till I decided to pull my chassis harness from the engine bay and tuck it.

Come to find out the ground wire for the driver signal (the signal has 3 wires) was severed. Do a continuity test from the signal woees

The bulbs for the front need to be #1157. The rears have #1156. If you put a 1156 in a spot for 1157 it could cause a quick flash. Also, the light housing could be throwing things off. If the blinker switch in the cpu senses a change in the resistance then that too could cause a quick flash.

Did you try removing the housing from the good side and moving it over to the bad side? And if you have a cold solder joint in the CPU you wouldn't be able to tell from visually looking at it.

I replaced the housing with a known working unit. I suspect the Flasher unit may be at fault. I will pick one up and replace it.

BTW didnt know you were a fellow okie. Lol

Both flashers work along with the arrows. I jumped the wires and tested everything. The drivers side just blinks fast.

sorry. just wanted to be clear. you did make sure that they are both the correct bulbs, front and rear? because as mentioned, an incorrect bulb can draw an out of range current level causing your symptom

Good rule to look at.,
The 2 wire bulb connector uses a ONE filament bulb.
the 3 wire connector has a TWO filament bulb.
