turn signal problem

whenever i put on my headlights both my turn signals come on as well as the 2 turn signal indicators in my instrument cluster. also, if i flip the turn signal switch to either side, both sides light up as well as both the lights in the cluster.

i dont know if this has anything to do with it or not...
i am using the jdm turn signals with only 2 wires instead of 3 that the usdm models have. i soldered the red and green wires together and ran them to 1 black wire on the jdm signal, and ran the black wire to the 2nd black wire on the signal. when i connected just the red and black wires to test them at first, the lights didnt come on at all until the green wire was connected.

yep, that is your problem. Can't join the green and red wires. One is turn signal, one is parking lights

You need to change it back to 3 wire or wire up the second bulb (in the small light) to the red/black while the green goes to the main turn bulb in the larger section

there is only 1 bulb in the turn signal and only 2 wires coming off the back.

what do you mean by "parking lights"? when do they come on?

I think he means that the red goes to the running/ parking lights that only light up when the headlight **** is turned either 1 click or 2. The green light goes to the other half of the bulb that blinks... Are you using the 1156 bulbs with 2 lights in the bulbs or the ones that are like the reverse/ tag lights that only have one light in the bulbs?

When you joined the red/green wires you're connecting the running lights to the blinkers. The same thing happend in my moms accord when the bottom of the bulbs got corroded and the 2 lights linked together...
