Turn Signal Problem

About a week ago I heard a click or crack sound and my Left Turn Signal stopped working. Two days later my Left Turn Signal started working again without myself doing anything to fix it. And then about 2 days ago it stopped working again. I heard the same click or crack sound before it stopped working and was wondering what could of caused it. My left hazard light doesn't work either. Any clue what could be wrong?

actually i have that exact same problem dude, so if anyone could leave some feedback it would be great. but from what i have read on it so far it could either be the actual turn signal switch that needs to be replaced or the ecu needs to be resoldered so like it could be anything

I'm in the same boat w/ u guys. Can you still hear a fast ticking sound when you use u're left signal?

I pulled apart the black box for the indicators and hazards, and the solder joints look good and there isn't anything burnt out.

Little help here.......

my s5 turbo does the same thing the right blinker doesn't work and I get a fast clicking. I think iv'e read in a thead that its the cpu solder joints are bad. I haven't taken my cpu apart to fix it (bacause I have no experince soldering)
Maybe Icemark can chime in and help us out he seems to be the electrical guru/

My left signal sometimes when its been raining(moisture in the air?) doesn't work, has the fast clicking sound. It did this before and I replaced the CPU with theone from my parts car and it was cured. Myself I'm going to check and see if I can fix my broken spare other wise I think Mazdatrix sells them for 74 dollars or get another one from the junkyard. But to the original question I'd check the CPU.It is behind the driver's side kick panel.

when checking the ecu for this problem, does anyone know where on the ecu chip board that the problem would occur at?

I think the proper terminology would be CPU not ECU as most poeple probably think of the computer that controls the engine when you say ECU. As for what to look for specifically I don't know.I haven't had mine apart yet. Someone else had mentioned a relay so thats probably a good place to start.

The problem is a bad flasher board in the CPU (bottom 7 pin plug).

Generally you will not be able to see a bad board by looking at it with the naked eye.

And you can not fix it by just re-heating the solder. The old solder must be removed and replaced.

I sell rebuilt flasher boards and rebuilt whole CPUs on my website.
