Pull your steering wheel off and look. It's transparent why they return/do not return to off. If you look that is.

I'm gonna guess, take your wheel off and look for some sort of sensors?

There is a return sensor on the steering wheel. It could be that if it is not aligned right or broken the lever will not snap back. Just take the wheel off and look.

there is a lever under the steering wheel which makes the turn signal go back
however they do break
and to check u will have to take off the steering wheel and the trim around the cluster
than take off the signal lever as well which is secured by a little bolt. through there u will be able to see what is happening and if any parts are not broken or not functioning

good luck

Is this a 90-91 vert with SRS???, then it is supposed to work that way (the turn signal switch does not automaticly return)

if it is not an 90-91 vert with SRS, then you have a bad steering wheel position sensor, or bad turn signal switch.

,

Item two meshes with the steering wheel and cancels the turn signal when the steering wheel is turned.
