Hey i have a racing beat header, presilencer, and cat back and a k&n filter. I felt a big difference, but i need more lol. Ive been looking at the holley carb kit, does it boost ur power subsatnially? does it scarifice reliability? thanks anything you can tell me would be apprectiated.

P.S.- i have a 1990 GTU 5 speed

 

Carbs, typically only help WOT driving, usually at the cost of around town driveability. It is typically only a race only application, and used when things like climate changes and low speed driveability are not a factor.

You would be much better off, going with either a Stand alone ECU or piggy back AFC.

Also cleaned/flow matched injectors, port match and polish the intake, CDI ignition and plugs would come way before a carb unless your car is only going to be used on the race track.
