turboXS FuelCutDefender

hi guys...

will this FCD work in an S4 TurboII 1987?

Fuel Cut Defender - 5 volt MAP (FCD - 5V) US$129.00
Finally a fuel cut defender that you don't have to hit fuel cut to adjust. Completely universal, this device allows you to raise your over-boost fuel cut so you can boost to your hearts content. While many devices completely eliminate the boost cut, the TurboXS FCD allows you to raise the fuel cut limit but still have an over-boost setting.

any infos?

well it should work......but probably by the time you figure te wiring out and get it setup to work properly the RB one would be at your door step.

But it would work if you want to use it

Then yomay as well use the RB one. The beneift of the turbo XS one would be still keep the fuel cut, but just to raise it.

And Im saying it'll take a bit more time becuase the RB one litterally takes 4 seconds to install. For the turbosmart one you'll have to cut and solder wires (which one's I don't know) coming from the boost sensor and after its all wired properly then you'll have to ply with the settings to find out where its cuts, raise it, see if its high enough, raise it.....Im just saying its going to be more difficult then the RB one by leapsand bounds because the RB one LITERALLY takes 4 seconds - unplug sensor, plug in FCD to sensor, plug harness to FCD - DONE.

i don't wanna do the "try it, raise it, try it, raise it" stuff... i install that thing and set it to the highest setting possible so i will never have fuelcut! of course i look at my boost levels

thats nice that its plug and play, but i'm from austria...

i don't have the time to wait
i don't wanna pay high shipping for only one little thing
i don't wanna pay taxes for the import stuff
...

should i go on?

Dude don't waste your money on a FCD.
Get the Rtek upgrade.
Fuel cut pgramming is REMOVED and it's a drop in replacement.

holy fu...

i don't wanna sound unthankfull...

but PLEASE read where i come from and read why i don't wanna get the RB FCD as an example... because its worthless for me this time!

i only slap that FCD in and watch my boost needle...

next step is to do the whole chassis new (paintjob, bodywork, selfmade bodykit...), and THEN i will play with the big boys this winter... (microtech + bnr stage 3 (?))...
i only want to drive around that summer without cats thats all!
