turbos

I would like to purchase the best engine i can get for my '88 rx-7 i only have about five grand to work with. Can anyone tell me what would be the best way to go about doing this? Thanx

first off what car NA or turbo.....you could swap a turbo into your car or you could go all motor and port it a good bit or you could have the best of both and get a turbo ported motor...you need to do a search and learn what is available for an RX-7 youll find a great deal of parts for a turbo 13b but the NA 13b has a limited amount... its all up to you and your preference

Judging by the title of the thread you have a turbo car, well you can either get a j-spec or get a fc3s.org rebuilt motor with various levels of port with stronger seals, and better stuff inside, After that you can add a list of upgraded turbos, from stock hybrids to bigger turbos, and still remain under 5k, just be smart about what you spend your money on, or you'll wind up like me with over 1k in exhaust.
