Question turbo'd N/A intake tube

I am sure this has been covered but i cant seem to find anything on it. I am turbocharging my 86 GXL. I have most of it figured out with a lot of help from Aaroncake's writeup. (Aaron, you are my hero) the only trouble I have run into is attaching the tube from the intercooler to the intake i have considered making a "strawberry" as Aaron did but didnt Greddy make an adapter specifically for this? Ive been searching for it and cant find it anywhere. can anyone shed some light on this situation?

I have heard of people using the stock composite elbow that came on the N/A motor, with moderate boost.

If your using a front mount you would either have to buy the greddy unit or make the strawberry.

You can modify a TII air horn if you can weld aluminum.

The strawberry works well, but just make sure to smooth the transition much more then I did. Use a conical tubing reducer instead of just welding a straight piece of tubing to it.

Some people just use the plastic NA intake elbow. Even some TII owners do that when installing a front mount.

Are you using the N/A intake or the t2 intake?

using N/A intake

I managed to locate the greddy units on Ebay but the one for the FC looks like it has a different bolt pattern. would I use the one listed for the FD? It looks like a simmilar bolt pattern to the FC N/A intake tube.

No access to tig welder... and I suck at welding lol. I could make the strawberry but it would be real ugly.

The n/a and turbo throttle bodies are the same. Only the turbo one is mounted upside down compared to the n/a. So the air inlet should still be pointing toward the front of the car if you use a t2 inlet.
