Question turbo2 block with na internals?

Ok I had a guy tell me that i have a turbo 2 block in my NA. The block was out of a pre 87 or 88 gxl . You can see the oil and coolant lines were capped off. Is it possible the engine was rebuilt and someone used it as an NA block? Is it possible that there are NA internals? Or is it just a turbo 2 with out its inhaler.

What kind of intake does it have on it? Carb or FI?

The TII blocks were all 4 port, while the n/a engines were 6 port. If you really want to know, pull the whole intake manifold off. You will either see 4 holes into the block if its a TII block, or 6 holes if its a n/a block. It could have just the TII rotor housings, which would be very good, as the exhaust ports are a lot bigger than the n/a exhaust ports.

I would think that you'd be able to tell that by looking at the intake manifold.

Yeah, but it might not have the 4 port intake manifold. There are plenty of adapter plates made that allow you to use the n/a 6 port manifold on a 4 port block.

I seriously doubt that he has a TII block. The only time 4 port blocks are used in n/a engines is when they have a bridge port.

He could have the TII rotor housings, which would have freeze plugs for the coolant passages.

Even the n/a rotor housings, and whole engine block fo r that matter, have freeze plugs. Most of them are for inspection of oil passages, but they are still there. Just because theres freeze plugs, its not necessarily a TII bloack.

Sorry i forgot to say that it is a 4 port I knew that much and for the oil line it is clamped off. Its not a freeze plug. Im about to pull the motor out anyways so is there anything i should be looking for? I think its weird cause it came out of a car that had everything else stock so i dont think it would be bridgeported.
