88 GXL Exhaust

I have a 88 GXL non-turbo. My current mufflers are 2 ractive cannon style mufflers. I need to get my piping redone and i was wonder what size i should use underneath and what cat or res i should use??? Basically what exhaust i should be using? Thx.

If you want good top-end torque, go with a 2.5" piping all the way from the header to the mufflers..straight pipe. For great midrange go with 2.25", and for bottom end, I'd go with 2"

hey canadian, do you have headers? How much change could you notice once you got the exhaust? I am gettin exhaust as soon as my intake arrives. Thanks.
