Turbo timer installation?

Alright, well I finally got my TT in today. Its the Apex autotimer. There are no english instructions but it has pics of ecus to choose from depending what car it is going in. So I take it I have to plug it into the ECU. I thought there were wires under the steering wheel that I just splice into but I guess not. And it looks like on my 87TII the ground wire goes on top of the O2 sensor wire(image is really blurry). If anyone has some good english instructions or knows how to do this please let me know. Oh and pics would be nice Thanks.

Ok coming from the turbo timer there is a harness(which I know goes into the wiring harness) and there are three wires. A white with red stripe, black with red stripe, and gray with red stripe. Where do these go to? Also on the wiring harness there are 2 "wires"(very short), one red and one green. They have some sort of ends on them that look like they plug into something. Anyone know what all of this is? Thanks alot.

ALL turbo timers are basically wired in parallel with the ignition switch. This means you will need to get to the ignition switch wiring under the steering column. It sounds like you have a direct plug-in harness, so that shouldn’t be too hard. The wire that goes to the ECU is probably just an rpm signal.
And it looks like on my 87TII the ground wire goes on top of the O2 sensor wire(image is really blurry).
Why the hell are you anywhere near your O2 sensor?! That has nothing to do with a TT! Normally the TT’s earth can just go onto a handy screw or bolt wherever the unit is mounted.
If anyone has some good english instructions or knows how to do this please let me know.
If you can’t figure this out, take it to someone who can translate Japanese or who has actually installed on of these.

actually a couple of the newer ones monitor everything from mixture/lean/rich, to RPM, to redline as brakes and vehicle speed.

Ah yeah, forgot about that! In that case a thorough study of the ECU wiring diagrams might help figure out what's in the TT's manual. Someone who can read Japanese would also be invaluable!

I think I figured it out except I need to look at the ECU to figure where the ground and the O2 sensor wires go. I got everything else though I think. Thanks.

Oh and this TT has a built-in a/f ratio gauge and it can tell how hard the car has been run and keep the car on the proper amount of time.

Yeah, I had a Levoc TT that did that, quite handy.
Get the wiring diagrams chapter of the FSM; page 50-25 shows the ECU with the O2 sensor at bottom left, and the next page shows the plug you want (EM-31, bottom left) with the wire colours. Cakewalk!

Ok is the O2 sensor green with a yellow stripe? Me and Ted came up with that. Now the only problem I am having is that I can't figure out where the single red and green wires go to from the wiring harness.

The ignition key wires:

B (+12V) is black
ACC is blue
IG1 is black with a white stripe
IG2 is black with a red stripe
START is also black with a red stripe

The TT gets wired across B and IG1. You don't really need to hook up the TT's ACC wire, your radio doesn't require cool-down time...

O2 wire color

i just hooked up my a/f ratio gauge and also discovered that the FSM said that the wire your looking for was green with a yellow strip but mine turned out to be BLACK.
