Either this is a troll, or you're getting lucky.
Report back in a month to see if it's still running?

Why not just get a turbo ecu or aftermarket?

I heard some where that s4 vert ecu would run a turbo with low boost.

If it's form an 88 vert then you'd be correct. It's dual mode when it comes to Turbo or N/A. that's what icemark confirmed for me.

All the NA/Turbo ECU (within the same series) Can be swapped! The only main difference that will matter is that the NA has a VDI system, and the turbo has the knock system.

Right now, I am running an S5 NA ECU in my S5 TII vert, and it runs perfect (minus a bouncy idle....) But it pulls hard as ****, chirps the tires into second, will smoke the **** out of the tires..... NO PROBLEMS!

But I am getting a turbo ECU, just to have the knock system.

Shouldn't matter. The S4 may have more pin differences (if any) than the S5 NA/Turbo ECU, but it should still work fine.

But you do have to use the Turbo sensors.... Because the NA pressure sensor doesn't read over atmospheric.

That's some really dangerous advice you're telling people...

I would be very carefull with the NA ECU on a Turbo engine. It needs to be retarded as I believe the S5 NA ECU doesn't detect boost.

^ It only needs to retard the timing if it detects knock..... And I'm sure the stock knock system isn't that good anyways, better than none.... But not great.

And the ECU doesn't detect boost, the pressure sensor does. NA pressor sensors only detect atmosperic, and maybe a little over that. Turbo's measure vacume, and boost.
