turbo swap question

i know you guys have heard n/a --> turbo quesitons b4 but I haven't found too much info about my particular question. Basically, I want to convert my na to turbo b/c my copmression test didn't come out to spec. I found a pretty good deal on a turbo engine, tranny, and ecu for 1200. That's a good deal BUT there's the DS issue. I could go w/ a turbo DS but then I would need the diffy and the axles...which is more work/$. OR I can go w/ a custom DS.

So my ? is, has anyone had a custom DS made for their n/a to turbo conversion or does eveyrone typically just get the turbo DS? And I was actually thinking about maybe modifying the n/a DS by cutting and rewelding the flange to make it the size I need but that would involve a lot of work, time, balancing, etc.

what do u guys think? thanks!

the big issue, is that with the full converesion ( DS/ axles/etc..) is that it is the proper way, you get the vlsd, the stronger reap pumpkin, and the stronger axles- otherwise your going to continue to break NA rear parts until to upgrade or swap...
