turbo swap question

i just got finished swapping an s5t2 into an s4na fc and i got the motor to start but when its started the car revs up by it self and the rpm just goes up so i end up turning the car off....i was thinking it could have something to do with the throttle cable since i switched to the turbo one but just my guess...anyone know what the problem is...

You may have a S4 13BT. I thought mine was a S5 too. Check if it has a mechanical OMP. If the engine just dropped in and you hooked up the harness and it ran... you probably don't have a S5 TII, unless you did some rewiring.

For my swap I got the TII throttle cable.

You are probably right about the throttle cable. You probably have it set too tight.

The throttle cable is easy enought to check out. It should have just a hint of slack in it.

Another thing if not the cable.....remove the plug from the BAC and or the AWS solenoid and try again. That'll prevent any 3000 rpm on a cold startup.

Also the intercooler has two small nipples on the right rear of it (series four do anyway) so make sure their hose are on good. Plus the two large hose to the intercooler clamps should be snug.

make sure your vac lines to the BOV are right, and that there running into the mani's right.
