hey i need some help im getting mad because i bought my 87 TII on friday and on sat the car stalled after i had been beating on it alittle bit but it didnt do this during the abuse it stalled when i had the clutch in and was rolling to a stop. I got it home and found that i wont idle it starts runs shitty for a couple seconds and dies unless it is given gas. O and the boost wouldn't build past 0 on the stock boost gauge when I reved it.
I took it out the next day and it would boost a little, but then it got worse and the turbo would kick in when ever it felt like it. I wouldn't do **** if i floored it just made a rumbling noise but at about half throttle it ran decent (with no boost)
I really need some expert input here I don't know what to do

Vacuum leak.

 

Don't rely on your stock gauge. It's completely worthless. It does the same thing on my car. Go grab yourself a pod and an aftermarket boost gauge.

 

ive been checking for leaks but haven't found any and my gauge did go above that before any other suggestions

 

boost wont raise when you rev it bro... the engine has to be under stress (ie, acceleration when you're in gear) and that stock gauge DEFINITELY sucks... any yeah, its really hard to get any boost unless you are accelerating...

 

it doesnt boost when I accelerate either at least not like its supposed to it will boost every now and then but it does it unpredictably

 

hm, that is certianly weird
get going about 30 or 40 mph in 3rd and floor it. report back to us and tell us exactly what happens. this problem is a little bit too broad as is...
