How hard is it to swap turbos wile they are still on the car? I had my engine rebult and they put the wrong turbo on my car. I've been having problems not being able to use full boost over 5k with a streetported engine and I thought it was fuel cut, but now i'm not sure, I took out my air filter and the whole back side is coverd with oil. I know you have to remove a bunch of stuff, but is it something I can do? Chris

 

If your engine has more than 3000K on it (1800M) than don't mind me...but if you are running over 5000 RPM on a non-broken in engine.....Don't do that

 

yea its broken in, i followed all the steps to brake it in. Its got over 3k miles on it. it hasn't been doing this all along, it just started smoking after about 1500 miles, sence then I hasn't gotten worse or better. See, when i had my engine built I took them two engines, one had a rebuilt turbo on it the other had the orginal. I found out that they didn't but my rebuilt on back on.

 

i played it safe and did 5000 miles to brake it in. my car is amazing now
i can do 0-60 in 7 stock. thats very good according to stock times.
