It will have to be all custom. Much less work to swap in a TII drivetrain.

uuhh, the drivetrain is the entire stock turbo setup. motor, turbo stuff, ecu, trans, etc. use the search button on this site up in the right hand corner of the page. just type in turbo swap, turbo 2 swap, turboII swap, etc. and you will find a bunch of great information on pricing, how/where to get the stuff (plenty can be found on this site and ebay) and the best ways to go about performing the swap. also read the FAQ at the top of this forum. Sorry dont have any links, but I promise you that im probably going to be the most helpful to you. hahahahaha

Talking

Yeah this is a pretty common question around here and the answer is, as far as what's easier, a TII swap. I know some guys want to do a full N/A to Turbo conversion and that's fine if it's your thing but it's a LOT of work.

Make sure you use a TII transmission, (which requires a different clutch etc.) because the N/A tranny is pretty weak.

Cheers,
Cody

ITS IN THE DAMN FAQ.

Noobs REALLY need to read the FAQ before posting. I think the site should redirect noobs to the FAQ everytime they login until all pages have been read. This **** is getting old.

Not true.

Aaron went over the top to build his FC.

Me and Fero313 did his 6 port turbo in a weekend. Using 95% factory pieces. I would no longer say he has an "NA Turbo" but a true 6 port turbo. It was also done for less than $800.

But the newbie still needs to ****** search.

Where's your build-up thread? I wanna look (since I am doing this eventually: Hi-comp Turbo!).

You can PM Fero313

For some reason he hasn't posted up a build up thread. Even though I took a million pics and emailed them to him so he could post a step by step. If you can't get ahold of him, let me know and I can PM you all the gory details.

I have a really good write up with like 7 people.
Here is the link.
https://www.rx7club.com/2nd-generation-specific-1986-1992-17/s5-6-port-turbo-question-697598/

Of course what you can tell I started by rebuilding my engine. I got the large streetport. I basically was going to try building a big strong n/a but I decided to go with a turbo later. The T2 would be more expensive just to do the swap. But you could get more power out of it then you could do a turbo on a n/a. S5 T2 would be the way to go because it makes 202hp I believe. Umm If you have any questions just pm me.
