Turbo II buying-(?)

Ive got my sights on a turboII, but when i called the guy up he didnt sound too excited to sell it. Apparently there's a compression leak and the engine floods (what he told me). My mind jumped to blistered o-rings and cooked rotors, but he said it still runs, just floods sometimes. so what i was wondering, any tech guys out there, if you could give me a diagnosis with the limited info here, and in your opinion would it be worth it to buy for cheep ($2000 at most) and get it fixed. Theres a local shop that sells 13Bs for $1500, is this a possibility? anyinputwelcome.

Lets see... buy the car for 2k then spend another $1500, probably more because your gonna find out it also needs this and that..... when you would be better off if you just had a bit more patience and looked around for a better car for say $3-3.5k? It would be well worth your while to just take a deep breath and do some more shopping. Let me say this....

YOU NEVER WANT TO RUSH A CAR PURCHASE

of course considering circumstance and all, cause you sure as hell dont wanna miss a killer bargin either.

But this car doesn't sound all that hot to me... unless its got all kinds of good stuff on it like turbo add ons and such... I'd only buy it if you got lots of extra cash and time, and don't mind waiting even longer to have your car repaired. Otherwise do the waiting right now and find a better car!

That is my rant on car purchase
