this is a very noob question but is this motor a Twin turbo? or just a single.

 

It's a single turbo engine, but it's the second iteration of a factory turbo rotary engine by mazda. The first was the 12a turbo only sold in Japan, and the second being the Turbo II, hence the II. So yea the Turbo II is a single turbo engine, the fd's or third gen rx7s are all twin turbo though.

do you know aprox the HP the stock Turbo II puts out?

 

The 2nd gen FAQs has that kind of info. The 89-91 (Series 5) 2nd gen came with 200 engine hp. The earlier 86-88 Series 4 had a bit less. Look it up.
