Arrow turbo driveline swap question

I am accumulating parts to swap my 89 vert to a t2. I have already rebuilt my transmission once and now I need replace some of the syncronisers. That is not fun and I don't want to do it again, especially when I am planing the turbo swap anyway. So I am going to start the swap with a t2 transmission, driveshaft, axle, and half shafts. And yes leave my n/a engine, I know what you are thinking, but it stays as long as it is putting out good compression numbers while I am tracking down a good t2 harness, computer, and rebuild able engine. Now for my question, is all I need to do to swap the transmission successfully is just bolt it up? Or will I need to bolt a t2 clutch and flywheel on the n/a engine. Do I need to change to the t2 slave cylinder to also? Thanks,

Flywheel, clutch, slave cylinder, transmission, driveshaft, rear end. This is all in the FAQ.

And when you swap the engine, use the NA engine harness. A TII harness is unnecessary.

I just use the n/a counterweight and get a t2 clutch and flywheel mounted to the n/a engine than? What about the master cylinder? Will the wires on the n/a harness reach to the plugs on top of the t2 transmission, or do I need to extend them?

The counterweight has to match the rotors, so you would keep the NA one. Master cylinder is the same, and the NA front harness will reach the transmission neutral & 5th/rev switches. The wire colors are probably different though (they are on S4s), so you'll have to go by both wiring diagrams when matching them up.

Unless you are running an Aftermarket flywheel there is NO counterweight to change.
The counterweight on Manual trans Engines are built into the flywheel.
Now,If you have a s4 n/A engine, that HAD a aftermarket flywheel on it, and plan on going to a TII rear end,use the Counterweight,But get a TII aftermarket flywheel.(so the Trans can hook up with the Engine,so to speak).
I have an N/A engine in my car, with a TII trans,Conversion shaft Back to N/A rear..sort of a Mixed bag but it works Great!

The Counterweight is for the SERIES of engine(so if you have an s5,or 89-91,you get the counterweight for that.).It doesn't matter if it is N/A or Turbo.the Counterweight is for the SERIES(like s4,s5,s6).
Do yourself a favor though, and shop around. The Aftermarket Counterweights can cost up to 150 or so USD.and you can always use the counterweight from an automatic Transmission'ed S5(in your appiclation)..
See if the "Sec gen parts Section" on this Forum reveals any Used Counterweights for Sale(they are Priced like 50 -100 USD,depending on Seller).Try "Japan2la"(vendor on forum) he always carries that part.
The flywheel is up to you. Some people like to get a flywheel that has a Separate Contact surface(you can replace if it gets Worn, used,Burnt,Damaged).an Example is the RacingBeat Flywheel.Other Names like ACT,come to mind for a Flywheel.
anyways..Good luck man..STYX!~
