Turbo Boost Question...

Ok my s5 n/a is being swapped to tii this week.

I allready have a 3" mandrel bent exhaust, with only a pre-cat and resonator. No main cat.

Will i have a big problem with over boosting?

What will i need to upgrade for the time being to be safe?

I'm out of money pretty much, so the cheaper the better, i also have a manual boost controller.

I can only think of porting the wastegate to prevent overboosting and getting an FCD to avoid fuel cut. I think your still ok in the fuel area with just an exhaust.

As long as the motor isnt in the car yet port the wastegate like seeker said, a manual boost controller and an aftermarket boost gauge would probably be pretty good investment at this point to.

ok i have a manual boost controller, and a hks boost gauge.

Only thing is, i am dropping the car off on monday, and the motor is there, so i won't be able to port it.

Guess i will just be careful on the way home, make sure i don't boost it too high.

well if you keep it at/under half throttle, you shouldn't have any trouble with overboost.

porting the wastegate is pretty easy. I suggest the meathod on here using the honda exhaust valve as a flap for an s4 if that's what the turbo is.
