tune ups and weight reduction on a 91 na se

i have a 91 fc3s se.. i want to do a tune up and a weight reduction. how should i start on da tune up? and what should i take out for da weight reduction?

I think that your "SE" is a coupe.

For a tune up, do as much as you want. I'd start with oil, oil filter, spark plugs, and flush the cooling system.

But, If you want to go further... transmission/diff fluid change, new radiator cap, check the timing, fuel filter, yada yada the list goes on.

As for weight reduction, its up to you what you think is "neccessary".

carpet and stuff....

and yeah along the sides of necessary you could go all out and tear out the dash and make some custom fiber glass dash with aftermarket gauges

and loose some wieght urself j/k

for weight reduction....dump the a/c, ps, remove the stock headlights and replace with lighter flush mounts, pull the rear carpet and storage units, get an aluminum hood, replace rear hatch glass with lexan or any other suitably clear plastic. Remove teh seats and replace with lighter racing buckets(add a roll bar so you can also have somethign to attach the 4/5 pt harness too)

Removing carpets would be stupid unless you remove the tar.

AC/PS/Emissions (only if u have a RPM switch for the s5's VDI) rear carpet, aluminum hood, seal off the sunroof, remove the washer ****, real antenna. Tons more!

kool, didnt know there was so many things to do... im prolbably goin to take out the ac, the ps and emissions? i dont know much about them.

Emissions removal will most likely be a bad idea at this moment.

You need it for the VDI to work.

Check the archeives for tune-up information.

Errr sound like you're biting off too much right now; I say you just read up on the forums for now and get a bit more knowlege before you dive in that far.
