I was looking at the damage to my bumper, below the right brake duct I found a tube sticking down (black, alil less thana inch in diameter, also a knife was in there seriously! Dunno who the hell put a rusty knife in my bumper

Anyways, whats this tube for? I tipped my finger in it no color, can't tell what its for.

Sounds like you may be referring to the dump tube from the air silencer. Passenger side?

I've noticed this too, confused the **** out of me, I couldn't figure out where it went and never actually had the motivation to dig around and check. (I was changing out my clutch, and a stupid little pipe was NOT getting in my way..)

The hose is a dump hose. It connects to nothing on one end, and the air silencer on the other end.

How much noise does the silencer actually silence? I'm not at home can't remove it and test it out myself.

If the silencer is missing, the car will make odd moo'ing noises when the ACV dumps excess air. It's noticable and weird.
