Trying to figure out if my motor is eff'd
OK so I have been seeing a lot of smoke come out of my car at times. I thiought my OMP was malfunctioning by over injecting but I discovered the actuating rod was bent in such a way as to not fully open the OMP at full throttle. This has me worrying that either I or the previous owner toasted the engine from hard driving without proper oil injection. My car only smokes for like ten second on a cold start up. I have no cats. A lot of blue smoke (like a second or threes worth) will come out AFTER taking the car up to redline and letting off even on a warm engine. I checked the actuator rod to the OMP and it seems to be moving easily with no hitch points. Is this smoking normal for a car with no cat or is my engine proper eff'd. I know I should check compression but I kinda want to have an idea of the engine staus before hand. Would a blown oil control ring cause this? Is my car just set up a little rich?

Blue smoke is generally the oil control rings.
Blue smoke after hitting redline & letting off generally means the oil control rings are bad or going bad.
It's probably time to start considering a rebuild. It's a lot cheaper to rebuild an engine before it blows than after (the failed apex seal bits sling around and almost always totally destroy one housing & rotor).

I think I am gonna break down and find a way to pay for a rebuild. I guess my motor will be getting ported sooner than I wanted it to. Atleast now I will be learning how to rebuild a rotary.

Is there a way to tell for sure these things are bad? I mean the engine only has 117k miles on it and its a NA so I am skeptical of the rings being bad already.
